According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie has since resumed training.

The players who did not travel to Qatar to play at the World Cup were given a holiday period until December 5. However, the Ivorian opted to ‘cut his holiday short’, and resumed on November 29.

Kessie spent two weeks in Ivory Coast before travelling back to Barcelona. The Ivorians didn’t qualify for the World Cup this year.

Kessie got off injured in the Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen, back in early November, and the midfielder wants to be fully fit for the Catalan derby against Espanyol on December 31.

Kessie has struggled for game time this season, and has played just 485 minutes across 13 games for Barca (with 5 starts) and has scored one goal for the Blaugrana.
