The Netherlands will face Argentina on Friday, December 9, for a spot in the semi-final of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.

It’s a game between Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay up against Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.

So far De Jong and Messi have been among the best players in the tournament, and the Dutchman is looking forward to coming up against Messi.

De Jong is optimistic his side can go through to the semi-final.

When asked if he knows how to stop Lionel Messi, Frenkie de Jong responded: “Well, no. I know him, but I don’t know how to stop him. He’s been making the difference for 15 years. So we can only stop him as a team.

“We want to win and that’s possible, Argentina has an excellent team, but so we do. The match is 50-50.”
