Xavi gives update on fascinating 19-year-old Barca star who was stretchered off

19-year-old summer signing Pablo Torre who joined Barcelona from Racing Satander during the summer, got a rare start in the Champions League clash against Viktoria Plzen.

The youngster was having a good game and even scored Barcelona’s fourth goal in the 75th minute.

Two minutes afterwards, Torre left the pitch on a motor stretcher and seemed to be seriously injured.

Torre did not move from the ground after latching on to a through ball by Raphinha.

Speaking on the incident afterwards, Xavi revealed that it was cramp and nothing serious.

“Pablo Torre has cramps, nothing more. It was a demanding match. It’s been pretty good,” Xavi said when asked about the situation of the teenager.

Xavi however gave a more worrying assessment of Franck Kessie’s injury.

“The general assessment is negative,” Xavi said when asked about Franck Kessie’s injury after the Plzen game.

“It looks bad for Kessie. Until the injury, he played a remarkable match. He was very well positioned.”
