Club boss confirms 19-year-old star will do well at Barcelona

Pablo Torre has now officially signed up for Barcelona after putting pen to paper on his contract at the club last week Wednesday.

The 19-year-old midfielder joins Barca from Racing Santander, signing a four year deal with the club.

Racing Santander coach Guillermo Romo has confirmed he has no doubts Pablo Torre will be successful with Barcelona.

Romo told Sport: “We have to see it and we cannot create expectations, he has to live the experience. He will have the luck, if I’m not mistaken, to do the preseason with the first team and if he later gets Barça B, I’m sure he’ll take it on.

“Sergio Alegre – Xavi’s assistant – spoke with our second coach, David Paredes. They were interested above all in the human aspect of Pablo.

“And he has it. He is a boy of few words, but with very clear ideas, knowing how to be and a very good environment. For all this, I think the change will not be so much.

“Barcelona is a special club when it comes to dealing with youngsters, I think the decision is the one he had to make and now he is the one who can make it good.”
