Barcelona’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Inter Milan didn’t just light up the pitch—it also earned rare praise from a rival manager. Inter boss Simone Inzaghi was left stunned by the tactical bravery of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, whose bold strategy has turned the Catalans into Europe’s most prolific scoring machine.

“Barcelona’s strategy is risky,” Inzaghi confessed after the six-goal thriller. “But it’s paying off.”

That assessment is hard to argue with. Under Flick’s aggressive high-line and relentless pressing approach, Barcelona have scored over 150 goals this season—more than any team across Europe, including PSG. The Blaugrana have already secured two titles and remain firmly in contention for two more, including the Champions League and La Liga.

The Inter boss was full of respect for what Barcelona have achieved under Flick’s stewardship. “Our match was at a very high level,” Inzaghi noted, pointing to the intensity and quality of the game. It was a match that saw Inter go 2-0 up, only for Barcelona to storm back with their characteristic firepower and tactical boldness.

Interestingly, despite the high line offering potential space in behind, Inter failed to fully exploit it. Instead, it was Barcelona’s relentless pressure and attacking philosophy that helped them claw back into the match—further evidence of how Flick’s tactics, while risky, continue to deliver results.

Inzaghi’s comments highlight what many in football are beginning to realise: Hansi Flick’s version of Barcelona might be unlike anything we’ve seen in recent years—aggressive, fearless, and ruthlessly efficient.

Barcelona fans have every reason to be excited. If this “risky” strategy continues to pay off, more silverware could be on the way.
