On a magical night in Seville, Barcelona once again showed the world why they are the kings of Spanish football, edging out Real Madrid 3-2 after extra time to claim the Copa del Rey title.

The final had everything: drama, passion, and, ultimately, the brilliance of Barça shining through when it mattered most. It was a night to remember for every Culer.

Madrid’s evening started in chaos when their left-back Ferland Mendy was forced off injured just nine minutes into the contest. Barça smelled blood and wasted no time asserting control. In the 28th minute, the mercurial Pedri lit up the stadium, curling an unstoppable effort past Thibaut Courtois to give Barcelona a deserved lead.

However, Madrid fought back. Goals from Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni in the 70th and 77th minutes flipped the game on its head and momentarily silenced the Blaugrana faithful. But champions rise when the pressure is greatest — and Barça did just that.

With the clock ticking down, Ferran Torres delivered the equaliser in the 84th minute, sparking wild celebrations. Barcelona’s spirit, belief, and never-say-die attitude carried them into extra time, where the moment of glory awaited.

It was Jules Kounde, with the heart of a lion, who rose above the Madrid defence and fired home the winner, sending the Barcelona fans into delirium.

When the final whistle blew, it was Barcelona’s name etched onto the trophy once again. A victory built on resilience, flair, and the undeniable DNA of this great club.
