Barcelona fans witnessed pure drama on Saturday evening as the Catalan giants pulled off one of the most thrilling comebacks of the season, coming from 3-1 down to defeat Celta Vigo 4-3 in a breathless La Liga clash.

The victory not only showcased the team’s unyielding spirit but also extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points over arch-rivals Real Madrid.

It was a rollercoaster night that began with early promise. Ferran Torres opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing off a slick move to give Barça an early lead. But joy quickly turned to concern as a moment of misjudgement from goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny allowed Borja Iglesias to equalise just three minutes later.

From there, things seemed to unravel. Iglesias stunned the home crowd with two more goals in the second half, both coming from quick Celta counters that left the Barça defence flat-footed. His hat-trick silenced the Olympic Stadium and put Celta Vigo 3-1 ahead, threatening to spoil Barcelona’s night.

But as champions do, Barça refused to bow out.

Dani Olmo sparked the comeback with a composed finish to make it 3-2, and just four minutes later, Raphinha — who had been buzzing all night — drilled in the equaliser to send the crowd into a frenzy. With momentum fully in their favour, Barcelona pushed for a winner.

Celta appeared to have done enough to earn a point, but football had other ideas. Deep into stoppage time, a VAR review confirmed a foul on Dani Olmo inside the box. The responsibility fell to Raphinha — and he didn’t disappoint. The Brazilian coolly stepped up and blasted the penalty into the top corner in the 98th minute, sealing an unforgettable 4-3 win.

This wasn’t just a win; it was a statement. Barcelona, under intense pressure, showed grit, determination, and belief — qualities that could be decisive in the title race. The comeback victory is sure to go down as one of the defining moments of the season.

Visca el Barça!
