Barcelona have been dealt a significant blow with the news that talented left-back Alejandro Balde will be sidelined for the next three weeks.

According to Diario AS, Balde suffered a biceps femoral (hamstring) injury during the recent clash against Leganes and will require nearly a month to fully recover.

This injury comes at a crucial time in the season, with Barcelona entering a decisive stretch in their push for silverware. Balde, known for his blistering pace and attacking runs down the flank, has been a key figure in Hansi Flick’s setup, offering width and energy in both attack and defence.

The atmosphere within the Barça dressing room has reportedly been dampened by the news, with players and staff deeply concerned about Balde’s absence during such an important phase of the campaign.

Adding to the concern, head coach Hansi Flick confirmed that Ronald Araujo also experienced discomfort during the same match. The Uruguayan centre-back felt some pain in his quadriceps but is expected to be available for selection.

“Ronald Araujo has a little discomfort in the quadriceps, but I think he’ll be fine,” Flick reassured fans in his post-match comments.

The next few games will test Barcelona’s depth and resilience as they aim to maintain momentum in both La Liga and European competition.

The Blaugrana faithful will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Balde—and for Araujo to avoid any setbacks—as the team navigates this tricky period.
