Atletico Madrid lost a comfortable 2-0 lead against Barcelona, as they ended up losing the game 4-2, with Barça mounting a stunning comeback.
Despite the setback, Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone remained determined, insisting that the title race is far from over.
“It’s clear that there’s no need to talk, but rather to see that the team is competing. We’ve shown that in these last few matches. We need to win,” he stated.
“We’ll fight until the end. There are ten matches left and they have to play each other. If we can and we can afford to have the chance with five matches left, of course, we’ll give it our all to get there.”
Barcelona’s victory not only secured three crucial points but also reaffirmed their ability to thrive under pressure, something even Simeone couldn’t ignore.
