Lamine Yamal was visibly frustrated when Hansi Flick decided to substitute him towards the end of Barcelona’s 2-2 draw against Atalanta.

The young winger, who had been one of the standout performers on the night, appeared unhappy as he left the pitch.

Speaking after the match, Yamal clarified his reaction, saying:

“It was because of the match, we wanted to win, like in every match, but no problem right now.”

Barcelona forward Raphinha was asked for his thoughts on Lamine Yamal’s angry reaction to Hansi Flick taking him off against Atalanta.

The Brazilian also admitted he used to get angry when he was at Lamine Yamal’s age.

“Yes, I understand him completely,” said Raphinha. “In the end he is an amazing player and always wants to be on the pitch.

“I was also angry many times when I was his age. It is normal for him to be frustrated.

“I am trying to help him a lot and I am very happy with the level he is playing.”
