Hansi Flick has opened up about the significance of Barcelona’s key objectives this season and the tournaments they are competing in.
Tomorrow, the Catalan giants will face Atalanta in their final group-stage match of the Champions League. With 18 points from 7 matches, Barcelona currently sits in second place, aiming to solidify their position in the knockout phase.
When asked whether the Champions League is a clearer objective than La Liga, Flick explained:
“For me, La Liga is the most important thing Barcelona can win; we’ve been striving for it all season. We’ll see what happens.”
However, the head coach also emphasised the importance of other competitions:
“The Supercopa, Copa del Rey, or the Champions League are also goals we want to achieve. Winning the Champions League is the hardest because there are so many strong teams.”
Looking ahead to the Atalanta clash, Flick reiterated the team’s commitment to performing at their best:
“Tomorrow, we want to win and secure the best possible position in this stage.”
With Flick at the helm, Barcelona is clearly focused on balancing their ambitions across all competitions while keeping La Liga as the top priority.
