Barcelona’s young superstar, Lamine Yamal, has taken to social media to heap praise on teammate Jules Kounde, declaring him the best right-back in the world.

The pair were instrumental in Barça’s commanding 5-1 victory over Real Betis in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. Kounde delivered a stellar performance, scoring a goal and coming agonisingly close to a second, only for it to be ruled out due to a marginal offside call.

Yamal, who continues to dazzle with his attacking flair, has been particularly impressed by Kounde’s growing influence in the attacking third this season.

The French defender’s consistent excellence has not gone unnoticed, with Yamal taking to Instagram to comment on Kounde’s post-match post: “I said it already. Best right-back in the world.”
