Several reports have claimed that Barcelona have agreed a deal with Juventus for captain Ronald Araujo to move to Turin.

The Uruguayan defender will travel to Turin next week to undergo medical tests before completing the move, reports also claim.

According to La Repubblica, Araujo has reportedly given his approval for the loan move and is expected to sign the relevant paperwork once the medical is completed.

However, renowned journalist Gerard Romero, has claimed that reports that Barcelona have agreed a transfer deal with Juventus for Ronald Araujo have been dismissed.

Barcelona has stated there is no closed agreement with Juventus for the Uruguayan defender.

According to Romero, Barcelona did confirm ongoing discussions with Juventus, but no concrete decisions have been made. The club also mentioned that other teams have inquired about Araujo, but nothing has been finalised.

Barcelona remain firm that no deal has been confirmed, despite the growing speculation over Araujo’s future.
