Barcelona winger Raphinha has called on his teammates to prioritise victory in the Super Cup, highlighting the impact it could have on their season.

Speaking ahead of their semi-final clash against Athletic Club on Wednesday, the Brazilian stressed the importance of competing for every trophy available.

“We have an opportunity to start with the Super Cup,” Raphinha remarked during a press conference.

“It is a title which will give the team a lot of confidence.”

Raphinha also reflected on Barcelona’s recent dip in form, acknowledging that slumps are a natural part of the season but urging his team to bounce back quickly.

“You are not always at one hundred percent all season; there will be downturns,” he admitted.

“Now we need to get back to winning as many games as possible.”
