The second goal came early in the second half, with teenager Lamine Yamal stealing the spotlight. He latched onto a delightful chipped ball and drove past Unai Simon with confidence to double Barcelona’s advantage.

Athletic Club thought they had a lifeline in the dying moments when Inaki Williams found the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside, ensuring Barcelona’s clean sheet.

Barcelona now await their opponent for Sunday’s final, as Real Madrid and Mallorca face off on Thursday for the remaining spot.
