Barcelona were given a shocking 4-2 defeat away to Osasuna.
It was a far from impressive performance, as the first-half performance wasn’t encouraging from Hansi Flick’s men.
Hansi Flick heavily rotated his side, as he made six changes from his team that beat Villarreal 5-1 last week.
The decision backfired, and Hansi Flick has taken the blame.
“It’s my responsibility to take care of the players, and some of them had played too many minutes. Their rest was necessary,” Flick told the media after the game.
“After the international break, many players will return, we will have more to choose from. The many rotations are no excuse, but we had no other option.
“It wasn’t a good game. We made a lot of mistakes, and we made a lot of rotations to the team and maybe that’s one reason why, but they were necessary, there are a lot of games and a lot of minutes accumulated.
“We have to accept this loss. We didn’t play well. I take responsibility.
“If you want to blame someone, blame me. I made the mistakes. I overplayed the players and now we had to rest them.”
