Barcelona sporting director Deco, has spoken highly of Barca manager Hansi Flick.

Deco was rumoured to have had a patchy relationship with former manager, Xavi – an allegation often denied by Deco.

Speaking in an interview aired on Barca One, Deco has heaped a lot of praise on  Hansi Flick, and revealed many things he likes about the current Barca manager.

“He has the experience, which is very important in football and it comes with time and this is what Hansi has,” Deco says.

“Flick has coached great teams [Germany, Bayern], he knows perfectly what it is to be in a great club as a coach and this gives us peace of mind because he has experience, an easy way of working and this is also important for peace of mind and day-to-day life.

“Apart from being a great and honest coach, what I like the most is the way he deals with problems and important things.

“He is a calm man, a football person, he is a worker, with clear ideas, very demanding, he is very clear about what the players, the people who work with him every day, have to do.

“I would define him as a worker.”
