Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi has been ever-present in the Barcelona team this season.

The 17-year-old broke through from the Barcelona academy last season, and has taken it a step forward this season.

Pau Cubarsi has said he gets his confidence from Barca’s new coach Hansi Flick, and has vowed to give 100 percent to the Barcelona manager for trusting him.

“I had the uncertainty of not knowing if I would start the initial games. He trusted me. I am very grateful. I want to give 100% so that he can continue counting on me,” Cubarsi told reporters of Hansi Flick, while speaking from Spain’s under-21 training camp.

“He is a very close coach, who always tries to help you, even off the field. Maybe it’s not a change of mentality, but he has changed the fact that we are more positive and go looking for the opponent from the first moment.”
