Barcelona took their season to another level, after the 7-0 bashing of Real Valladolid.

Speaking after the game, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick singled out Barca’s sporting director Deco for special praise.

Hansi Flick thanked Deco for his support since he was appointed Barcelona manager.

“Before the start of the season, we already analysed the squad from top to bottom. I have to thank Deco,” Flick told the media.

“We’re like a family, and I love that. It’s so good. I’m proud to be told I’m the signing of the transfer window, but we’re only in the fourth game and that can change quickly.”

Following the dismissal of Xavi, Deco convinced the club to appoint Flick as Xavi’s replacement back in May.
