According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Joao Cancelo has agreed to sign for Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal this summer.
Fabrizio Romano wrote on X: “Cancelo to Al Hilal, here we go! Deal in place for €25m package to Manchester City,”
Cancelo has agreed a three-year deal where he will earn up to €15m per year for the next three years.
Barcelona wanted Cancelo back on loan but Man City were only interested in selling him permanently.
With Barcelona still experiencing financial problems, they couldn’t offer Joao Cancelo a salary close to what Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal proposed.
Barcaelona will have to settle with Jules Kounde playing at right-back, with Hector Fort as a backup.
