Barcelona boss Hansi Flick was full of praise for Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, after Barca defeated Valencia 2-1 at the Mestalla.
17-year-old Lamine Yamal has won the hearts of Spanish fans following his exploits last season, as the teenager impressed for Barca and the Spanish national team, as the La Roja went on to win Euro 2024, with Yamal one of the best players.
Valencia fans gave Lamine Yamal a standing ovation when he was subbed off in the 86th minute of the game.
Lamine Yamal had a difficult week, as his father was stabbed and hospitalised following an altercation in Catalonia. Nevertheless, Lamine would turn up and play his heart out for Barcelona.
Hansi Flick said: “Lamine is a great player. Everyone loves watching him play football. I think that’s why he’s so successful.
“Lamine Yamal is an amazing player. It was an emotional game for him after what happened this week.
“I’m proud of him, he helped us win today.”
