Barcelona is set to receive a significant financial boost, amounting to €40 million, shortly after finalising the agreement to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig.
This cash influx comes from a deal made with the German company Libero, which agreed to purchase a percentage of Barca Studios last year.
According to Diario AS, Barca have struck a deal with catering company Aramark to clear the €40m deficit.
Spotify and Nike are also expected to chip in with some funding to help Barca return to the 1:1 rule without selling any players.
Dani Olmo, who was part of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy from 2007 to 2014, has been a standout performer for RB Leipzig and the Spanish national team. His transfer is structured with a €60 million release clause that Barcelona needed to trigger.
Olmo had a strong 2023/24 season, contributing significantly to RB Leipzig’s campaign and performing well in Euro 2024.
This financial boost is timely for Barcelona as they continue to rebuild and strengthen their squad under the new management, aiming for better performance in the upcoming season.
With this incoming funds, Barcelona will have no issue registering Dani Olmo.
