
Barcelona and Manchester City played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the United States. Barcelona went on to win the game in penalty shootout.
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick was pleased with the performance of his players, as they matched Manchester City.
Speaking after the Manchester City game, Flick stated: “We have seen great things. We have played against a great team with fantastic players. I’m very happy with my team. We defend as a team and we also attack a team
“I would say that we defended too far back. It’s not what I like the most. We have to improve on that. I’m proud of the young players.
“We also had a fantastic goalkeeper. We have been a team and Ander Astralaga was also important during penalties. We want to do something similar to what Guardiola has built at Manchester City.”
20-year-old Barcelona goalkeeper Ander Astralaga saved two penalties in the shootout to help his side win the game.
Barcelona will face bitter rivals Real Madrid in a pre-season El Clasico on Saturday, August 3.
