Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has said it’s a shame that Ansu Fati isn’t currently with the Barca team on pre-season.

Fati is currently out injured, but Flick has said he has plans for the 21-year-old La Masia product.

“Ansu Fati plays as a left winger, but he can also play as a number nine,” Hansi Flick said during his presentation as Barca’s new head coach.

“In these first days, Ansu was amazing. He was very fit and he showed it in training. It’s a shame not to have him here or in the United States. We will help him to come back stronger.

“My technical staff are working with him. Now, he is injured and we have to wait.”

It’s yet to be seen whether Ansu Fati will be sent out on loan or play for the Barca team this season.
