Barcelona have appointed Albert Sanchez as Barca Atletic’s new head coach.

Albert Sanchez comes in for Rafa Marquez who only recently left the club to become assistant coach of Mexico’s national team.

Albert Sanchez was one of Rafa Marquez’s assistants at Barca Atletic, and has now been promoted to head coach.

Sanchez has had working experience at Espanyol, as well as at Saudi, Chinese and Kuwaiti clubs.

Sanchez now faces the task of returning Barca Atletic to the Spanish second division. The last time they played in the second division was in the 2017-18 season.
