Xavi has admitted his displeasure at what Barcelona fans did during the game against Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano 3-0 at home on Sunday evening, with Robert Lewandowski scoring a goal in the first-half and Pedri scoring a brace in the second-half.

Many Barcelona fans chanted ‘Xavi! Xavi!’ during the game against Rayo Vallecano. Some other sets of fans chanted “Xavi yes, Laporta no”

Amid reports that the club could still sack Xavi at the end of the season, Barca fans have shown their support for the club legend.

Xavi has however said he didn’t like the chant against the club president.

“Well, I don’t like it. I didn’t like this situation. It has been unpleasant,” Xavi said when asked about the gesture from the fans.

“I don’t like it when they whistle against the coach, the president. I am grateful to the fans because they always sing for me.

“I am grateful and excited.”
