Xavi went for a centre-back pairing of Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez for the game against Real Sociedad.

Ronald Araujo was left on the bench for this game, and didn’t get to feature at all.

According to Xavi, he benched Ronald Araujo for rotation purposes.

“Ronald’s [Araujo’s] benched [v Real Sociedad] because we’re going to rotate the squad in the upcoming weeks,” Xavi has told the media.

Barcelona will face Almeria away on Thursday and Rayo Vallecano at home on Sunday. Barcelona will play Sevilla away from for their final game of the season.
