
Barcelona secured a 1-0 victory over Cadiz on Saturday night, as Xavi’s men continued their fine form.
In what was a keenly contested game at Nuevo Mirandilla, a spectacular solo goal from Joao Felix was enough to separate the two sides.
Barca manager Xavi Hernandez, was full of praise for Joao Felix after the remarkable victory.
Xavi said after the game: “Joao Felix has a lot of talent. He’s been a great help, feeling comfortable and happy here. His goal today wasn’t just brilliant; it also came from his hard work, pressing, and freedom of movement which allowed him to fully leverage his skills.
“Today, he was simply marvelous.”
Xavi also reserved praise for Cadiz who put up a fight.
He said: “Cádiz played in a way that will likely secure their stay in the top division. We knew it would be a tough game. Our team remained serious and professional.
“We aimed to win and achieved that with players who’ve had fewer opportunities this season.”
