Worrying update for Barcelona ahead of Champions League clash with PSG

Barcelona

Barcelona play PSG in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The first leg will be played next Wednesday at the Parc des Princes.

Helena Condis has reported that Pedri and Frenkie De Jong did not train with the rest of the Barcelona squad at the start of the week, and may most likely miss this game.

The duo are on the path to recover from the injuries they picked up in March.

With the game against PSG less than six days away, it means that both players are unlikely to start the game even if they train later this week and make the squad.

It’s even likely that they will miss the first leg if Barca decide not to take any risks with Pedri and De Jong.

Meanwhile, Opta’s Supercomputer The Analyst has predicted that Barcelona may likely get knocked out by PSG in the Champions League quarter-final.

The algorithm predicts that Barca have a 42.1% chance of reaching the semi-final, whereas it tips PSG to go through at 57.19%.

The Supercomputer predicts that the Champions League final will be between PSG (35.3%) and Manchester City (41.9%) in June at Wembley.

All we can do is wait and see how Barcelona silence critics and doubters. This may just be our year.
