Barcelona defeated Las Palmas 1-0 at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday night.

A goal from Raphinha just before the hour mark sealed the victory for Barca.

Speaking after the game, Las Palmas head coach García Pimienta lavished praise on Barcelona starlets Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi.

Pimienta was surprised at the quality of Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi, who are still teenagers.

The teenage duo, aged 16 and 17 respectively, started the game for Barcelona. For Pimienta, they have ‘insane’ quality for their young age.

He said: “Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí are playing as if they have been in La Liga for 10 years. Insane.”

Barcelona have closed the gap on Real Madrid to just five points, pending Madrid’s game later tonight.
