Barcelona star Pedri has reached out to the club’s fans with an emotional message via social media on Monday evening, following another significant injury blow.
Pedri experienced yet another setback during Barcelona’s recent La Liga match against Athletic Club, where he had to leave the field before halftime due to a thigh injury.
This comes after a previous quadriceps tear in August which had sidelined him for two months, marking this as his second relapse since that injury.
Despite the frustration and visible tears at San Mamés, Pedri’s subsequent message conveyed resilience and gratitude.
On his official Instagram, Pedri shared: “It’s hard to stop and start again after all the effort and work behind it.”
Pedri then expressed his appreciation for the support received from fans and the Barcelona community, stating: “Even so, have no doubt that yesterday’s tears of helplessness will return to tears of happiness very soon.
“It’s impossible not to be excited about all the love I’ve received in the last few hours. For you, for the staff, for all those around me, and for myself, we have to look forward. We still have a lot of joy to share. Here we go!”
