According to a report on Teamtalk, Liverpool have identified Barcelona star Lamine Yamal as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Yamal, who is just 16 years old, has already broken several records at Barcelona, including being the youngest player to represent the club in a first-team game and the youngest to start a La Liga match for them.

Despite his young age, Yamal has appeared in 28 games this season, contributing two goals and five assists.

Barcelona’s financial difficulties might reportedly force us to consider selling some of our top talents, and Yamal, despite having a €1 billion release clause, could be available for a more reasonable price.

Liverpool are not the only club interested in Yamal; Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea are also monitoring his situation, setting the stage for a potential bidding war among the Premier League’s top teams.

Liverpool’s strategy seem to be preparing for life after Salah, who, at 31, might not be too far from his career’s twilight years.

Yamal is seen as a player who could learn from Salah and eventually become a top-class forward for Liverpool.
