Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez, has admitted Barcelona are favourites heading into tonight’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final clash against Osasuna.

However, Xavi has acknowledged that his side must improve defensively if they want to get to the final of the Super Cup.

He said: “The team is ready to compete. We have many things to do a great tournament in the Super Cup.

“We have a lot to gain and we are favourites against Osasuna, but this is going to prove it. We have been in complicated many times. For tomorrow we have the favourite’s title, but not the competition, it is clear.

“We are concerned about the lack of forcefulness in the rival area, but especially in ours. We are giving away many things on a defensive level. Last season we were effective and this year it is costing us more.”
