Barcelona returned to winning ways after a 3-2 victory over Almeria.
It wasn’t an easy game against Almeria, even though the visitors are struggling in the La Liga.
Barcelona took the lead three times against Almeria, but the visitors pegged back Barca twice.
Sergi Roberto scored two second-half goals to ensure Barca’s victory, but Xavi reserved praise for goalkeeper Inaki Pena.
Speaking after the match, Xavi admitted: “Inaki Pena gave us the win with his save in the last few minutes.”
For Xavi, the first-half display from his team was unacceptable.
“The first half is not acceptable,” Xavi said. “I told them at half-time that we needed one more step, in everything, in values, attitude, game, defence, everything.
“In the second half, we already had soul. I think this happens because we’re missing confidence and play with pressure.”
