Barça boss Xavi Hernandez, has admitted he’s unhappy that Eric Garcia will play against Barcelona.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan with Girona, who are even ahead of Barcelona in the La Liga ranking.
Pablo Torre will not be eligible to feature against his parent club, Barcelona, but Garcia will.
According to reports, Xavi didn’t want to loan out Garcia, but the player pushed for the loan move that happened in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
“I like the fear clause with Pablo Torre [at Girona],” Xavi has told the media.
“With Eric [Garcia] we simply didn’t have the time to put it in. It is illogical that a footballer of yours can play against you. Look what happened to Atletico with Joao [Felix], their own player screwed them,” the Barca boss added.
Eric Garcia has been a key player for Girona who are having an outstanding season so far.
