Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed Barcelona’s intentions to permanently sign Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix.

The Portuguese internationals are currently on loan from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid respectively.

Laporta said: “We are interested in their stay. We plan to start these negotiations in a short period of time because, as you know, Deco is planning the best way to negotiate with Atlético Madrid and Manchester City.

“We have a beautiful friendship with these clubs.”

Xavi has also said: “We are satisfied with both. They have adapted well and are doing very well.

“Naturally we would like to count on them even after this season.”
