The return of La Liga football next weekend will see Barcelona travel to Rayo Vallecano but Xavi Hernandez is already worrying about the fitness of a key Barcelona player.

According to Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has an acute back pain.

The goalkeeper has now left the Germany national team camp and returned to Barcelona.

Nagelsmann said: “Marc-André ter Stegen will miss both games because he has acute back pain.

“He will fly back to Barcelona tomorrow. I hope he’ll be fit soon and get back to the pitch with his team.”
