Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez has shrugged off the jeers he received from Real Sociedad fans in the La Liga clash on Saturday.
Inigo Martinez came through the Real Sociedad academy, before breaking into their senior team and then moving to Athletic Bilbao before joining Barcelona.
The experienced defender celebrated Barca’s win against his former side, as Barca won 1-0 thanks to an injury-time winner by Ronald Araujo.
Having being booed by Sociedad fans, Martinez said of the boos: “I left here and it always hurts. It seems like they haven’t forgotten.
“It has been difficult. La Real, we already knew that they are a team that plays very well. That they push at home. It has cost us a lot.
“These last 10 minutes we had more chances than in the entire game.”
