Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad 1-0 away from home, with Ronald Araujo scoring a late winner.
At some point in the second-half, Xavi handed Inigo Martinez a note with instructions.
It was a curios moment, as everyone wanted to know what Xavi told Martinez.
In an aftermath of the game, the Barca boss said that he was trying to explain the roles of the players, having made numerous substitutions.
Xavi said: “The note for Inigo was a tactical issue. When you substitute several players it can generate some confusion so I had to clear things up.”
Speaking after the game, Xavi also claimed his team didn’t deserve the three points.
He said: “Last week we deserved to win and we lost. This week we didn’t deserve to win… but we did. That’s how football is.
“We took out the anger we had on El Clasico today. We won a very important match, even though we did not deserve it.”
