Barcelona could only beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 in Wednesday’s Champions League group stage clash.

Barcelona totally dominated the first-half and led 2-0. However, the atmosphere changed when the away team scored in the second-half, which led to a nervy end to the game.

Speaking after the game, Xavi claimed his team should have won by a larger scoreline.

“I think we made it difficult for ourselves [against Shakhtar]. We deserved to win 4-1 or 5-1,” Xavi told the media.

“We suffered in the second half and could’ve scored more. Still, we should enjoy the victory as we’ve won the three points and it was one of the most physically-demanding games since I arrived here.”
