According to media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Spanish champions Barcelona are interested in signing Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma.

The Japanese international has impressed since joining Brighton from Japanese outfit Kawasaki Frontale in 2021. He spent the 2021-22 season at Belgium club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise before making his Brighton debut.

Mitoma is very well liked at Barcelona, particularly his ability to break open defenses from his position on the left flank.

Mitoma is contracted to Brighton until 2025 and the Premier League side would be open to selling the 26 year old winger next summer to avoid losing him as a free agent in 2025.
