Barcelona forward Joao Felix has gotten a tenfold salary increase, after a fine start to the season.

According to reports by Radio Catalunya, Barcelona have decided to ‘reward’ the 23-year-old for his stellar performances this season.

Joao Felix had previously agreed to earn just €400,000 for the entire season, having taken a huge paycut. This amount was confirmed by Barca vice-president Romeu on Wednesday.

Joao Felix will now earn €4m for the current season after a fine start to the season, that has seen him score three goals and provide two assists in eight appearances for Barca.

Joao Felix will return to Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, as there was no buyback clause in his deal.
