Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has departed the Spain national team squad, to return to Barcelona due to injury.

Yamal was called up by Spain, despite that Barcelona have already diagnosed the player with a hip injury. The Spanish FA insisted on taking a look at the player themselves.

After tests were conducted on Lamine Yamal, the Spain national team have decided to allow him to return to Barcelona.

The Spanish FA release a statement, thus: “Lamine Yamal leaves the concentration of the Spanish National Team after being evaluated by the medical services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and determining that he will not be able to participate in the next two qualifying matches for the Euro 2024 that will pit Spain against Scotland in Seville and against Norway in Oslo.”

According to Cope’s Helena Condis, Spain called up the wonderkid despite the injury, to ward him off Morocco.

If Yamal plays a third senior international game, it. would rule out the possibility of him playing for Morocco forever.
