Barcelona may be the one facing the Negreira scandal, but it’s Real Madrid who have been getting favours from referees, from ab initio.

Former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has leaked an open secret.

Alvaro Morata has insinuated that Real Madrid have been favoured by referees compared to other clubs in La Liga.

“Do the referees treat you the same way at Atlético as at Real Madrid?” the striker was asked by COPE.

He replied: “You already know the answer and everyone knows it.”

Morata is a Madrid academy graduate who made 95 appearances for Los Blancos in his two spells at the club. He currently plays for Atlético Madrid.
