It wasn’t an easy night for Barcelona away at Estadio do Dragao, but Barca did the job that was needed.

Barcelona beat Porto 1-0 away from home, and it was a difficult game.

Speaking after the game, Xavi lamented the team’s current injury state, as he acknowledged that his best players are out.

“This shouldn’t be an excuse, but we have the best players injured,” Xavi told the media after Barcelona’s 1-0 win against Porto.

“We were not good at controlling the ball and we lacked some consistency, but we played with patience and calmness as we wanted to score the second goal.

“It’s the Champions League… And it costs a lot to win. We beat a historic rival away from home. We have to emphasise that.”
