Barcelona fought hard to get another win in the Champions League group stage, and thus sit at the top of the group standings after two round of matches.
It was a difficult night away at Porto, but Barça won the tie 1-0, courtesy of a first-half goal from Ferran Torres.
Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been officially named the Man of the Match against Porto by UEFA.
The 33-year-old German had a good game, and was surely among the most creative players on the pitch.
Gundogan covered a lot of distance to prove his work rate. He completed almost all of his 49 passes and assisted Ferran Torres with a beautiful assist.
Having won the Champions League last year with Man City, Gundogan will surely be looking to win it with Barca this time around.
It’s good to see Barcelona show better class and performance in the Champions League this season.
