Among the new generation players, Kylian Mbappe is seen as the king, as we’ve seen the reign of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo now reach its end.
Many young players have burst onto the scene, one if who is Lamine Yamal.
At 16, the teenager is already troubling experienced defenders.
Carlos Carvalhal, a former manager of Celta Vigo has said that Yamal reminds him of a young Cristiano Ronaldo.
“When Lamine plays from the start he does very well and when he plays for ten minutes, too,” Carvalhal told La Liga TV.
“Lamine reminds me of Cristiano Ronaldo’s process with Ferguson at Manchester United.
“This is a very important process for his growth and Xavi is doing it phenomenally: he puts him in, gives him minutes, doesn’t let him get dazzled, keeps his feet on the ground… Very good.
“Lamine has brutal potential and, if he continues like this, he will be at the level of Mbappe.”
