Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has now had his influence outside City and England. The Spanish coach has found a way to influence Catalan side Girona to an impressive start this season.
The Spanish side are a surprise package this season, and are pushing their weight at the top of the La Liga table with 19 points so far – claiming six wins and one draw in seven games.
Pep Guardiola is believed to have an indirect impact in the team as his brother, Pere is the owner of the La Liga side alongside City Football group famous holding company which administers clubs like Manchester City, New York City and Palermo.
There are some ex-Man City players who now play for Girona – for example, their wing-back Yan Couto is on loan from City.
Also, Taty Castellanos presently at Lazio, who scored four in a single game against Real Madrid last season, played on loan for Girona last season.
Two players on loan from Barcelona are also in Girona too – Eric Garcia and Pablo Torre.
