Xavi sung the praise of youngster Fermin Lopez, after his fine display against Sevilla on Friday night.
The 20-year-old wasn’t in the starting line-up, but came on to replace injured Raphinha in the first-half.
Fermin Lopez was everywhere, and his skills and movement caused problems for Sevilla defence.
Xavi has told the 20-year-old to believe in himself, and he’d go on to be a Barcelona great.
“If Fermín believes in himself, he can mark an era at Barca. He needs to believe that he’s a good player, that he can consistently put up good performances,” Xavi told the media after the game.
“Fermín is a great player; he doesn’t lose the ball and excels in 1v1 situations. He has all the qualities to be a Barcelona player for many years. I’m very happy for him because he works a lot, he deserves it.”
