Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez, has urged his team to replicate last season’s defensive performance.

Barcelona had the best defence in the league last term – matching the clean sheet record and conceding just 20 goals in 38 matches.

It has however been a bit too open at the back this season. Barcelona have already conceded 8 goals in just 7 games this season, keeping 3 clean sheets.

Xavi has said ahead of facing Sevilla: “Last year, we were brilliant in defence, and now not so much.

“We need to improve and get back last season’s vibes to win trophies.”
